Everyone that comes to the K2 Riding Facility must know the following:

We like to be forward and honest here, so we always inform you when we have any problems with the public or at the facility.  Please be aware that safety is our number one concern here.   Karolyn Foss refuses to teach or train any student if she cannot keep them safe and for liability reasons will make the ultimate call for a student to leave or to find another barn.

If none of our horses are a safe match for you or your dependant to ride, we will indeed refund any unused money paid (prorate the fees) and help you to find a better match for your ability and needs and help you get in touch with another stable or instructor.  We are here to make your horse experience the best it can be for you and/or your dependants.

Beginner's are evaluated on Champion horses and are matched with a horse after their evaluation process - usually at their first official lesson.  They will be given the chance to try three horses before a formal decision is made by the instructor, or may stay on the chosen horse the first or second time without trying another one.  Karolyn Foss is certified and extrememly knowledgable and we ask that you respect her final decisions for safety and learning purposes.

1.  Just because you will be riding World and National level Champion horses doesn't mean they are easy to ride!  They are highly skilled horses that are ridden correctly for performance and ability.

2.  If you want to learn how to ride correctly and use the proper techniques and cues then you are at the right place.

3.  If you want to just ride horses without using the proper form, or want to simply "joy ride", we simply ask you to go to a center where you can ride horses that do not perform under quality performance settings.

4.  If you choose to ride a World Champion horse, you must lease that horse each lesson for insurance purposes.  The charge per lesson on top of the normal lesson rate is $5.00.

5.  We ask that you consider all stables and facilities before you come here.  Even though we are currently a small facility until our expansion funds are available, we truely believe we are a cut above the average center and are very proud of what we can teach and provide for you and your family.

6.  We are a safe group of riders that focus on safety and skill building.  Please ALWAYS use a CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR.
